The Martin Limited Edition 00-18 Tim O'Brien Acoustic Guitar is based in tradition, but incorporates some features not previously found in the Martin line. Tim had some specific ideas about what he wanted in a signature guitar model. He chose the "00" body and the "18" styling, which on his model includes solid mahogany for the sides and back and Adirondack spruce for the top. This 00-18 guitar's top is supported with scalloped 1/4" Adirondack braces and tone bars and a maple bridge plate. The thin bracing and the stiffness of the Adirondack spruce produces a clear bell-like tone with volume suitable for both fingerpicking and flatpicking. The guitar's soundhole is adorned with a simple vintage-style Martin 18 rosette. However the black, center ring have been replaced by an elegantly thin strip of select abalone pearl. A beveled, polished tortoise-style pickguard protects the Martin Tim O'Brien guitar's top below the strings. The top and back are bound in black Boltaron and the center back strip of Madagascar rosewood matches the headplate overlay displaying the historic golden era-style Martin decal. In a show of support for the use of alternative woods, Tim chose solid Spanish cedar for the full-thickness "V" neck, attached to the body with the traditional dove-tailed neck joint. The ebony fingerboard features Martin's pocketed fret slots, G300 fret wire, and is dressed out with a diamonds and squares inlay pattern of select abalone pearl. The neck width at the nut is 1-3/4". Nut and saddle are bone. A unique feature of the Martin 00-18 Tim O'Brien guitar is its 25-1/2" scale length, which is typically reserved for dreadnoughts and orchestra models. This feature adds to the power and volume of this specially designed acoustic guitar. The Tim O'Brien guitar is detailed with a highly polished nitrocellulose finish and comes in a Geib-style deluxe case. The interior label of the Martin 00-18 Tim O'Brien Limited Edition Acoustic Guitar will be personally signed by O'Brien.

The Elvis Costello Century of Progress Signature acoustic guitar is fashioned after Costello's beloved 1936 model. It is a painstaking recreation of his favorite acoustic, used to record and perform many of the songs that made him the iconic musician that he is. Culling information from photos of Costello's treasured instrument and the original blueprints from the 1930s, Gibson Acoustics' team of master luthiers were able to successfully reproduce every attribute of Costello's prized acoustic with flawless accuracy and immaculate attention to detail. No feature was overlooked in the creation of the Elvis Costello Century of Progress acoustic guitar. From the figured eastern hard rock maple used for the back and sides to the Adirondack spruce used for the top and bracing, including vintage-style glue used to put it all together, the acoustic also offers a distinct peghead veneer and pearloid fingerboard, adorned by diamond inlays within Madagascar rosewood rectangle fingerboard markers. The neck is crafted from one solid piece of Honduran mahogany, and hand-sanded to form a pronounced "V" profile. The Elvis Costello Century of Progress from Gibson Acoustic will be released in a very limited run of only 300 instruments, numbered from 001 to 300 with an exclusive black hardshell guitar case adorned with a special Elvis Costello/Gibson stamped commemorative plaque and certificate of authenticity. Crafted to evoke the same powerful tone and sonorous projection as a pre-WWII D-28, the Martin D-28 Marquis Acoustic Guitar differs only by using the much less scarce, and therefore more affordable, Indian rosewood instead of Brazilian rosewood. Using only premium-grade solid Indian rosewood for the back and sides and a solid Adirondack spruce top, the Marquis Guitar delivers powerful sounds with scalloped Adirondack spruce braces and forward-shifted X-bracing. A special aging toner gives the wood a vintage countenance. The list of historically accurate details, nearly overwhelming and totally exhaustive, captures the authentic spirit of the Martin D-28: mahogany blocks/dovetail neck joint construction, slot-through saddle, herringbone binding, neck dart, zipper back marquetry, ivoroid binding, herringbone top trim, Waverly butterbean tuners, and old-style wood fiber rosette. The Martin D-28 Marquis also has a beveled and polished tortoise pickguard; ebony bridge with long saddle; modified V-shaped neck; ebony fretboard (1-3/4" nut, 25-2/5" scale) with diamond and square inlays; and fossil ivory nut, saddle, and bridgepins (with black dots). The Martin D-28 Marquis Acoustic Guitar is a lovingly crafted Indian rosewood version of the discontinued D-28GE.
